Free Will, HEE or NLP?

It is very easy when you decide to "fix" some things in your life to try and fix everything at once - with the result that usually very little really gets fixed, permanently. Presently I have two fixes in mind: to reduce my waistline to 26" by 26 March 2012 and to get my paper flow under control.Target 26 came first. It started after I attended an introductory NLP workshop and was reminded of some of the awesome things that I had achieved in the past, simply by setting my mind to the tasks at…See More

Tell us a bit about yourself, so we can get to know you
No Tall Poppies has been created to provide an internet portal for men, women and small businesses to find a place where they can network, communicate, share ideas and passions and support each other. I am the founder of No Tall Poppies.

My name is Lesley Dewar, I am an Australian Grandmother and I write stories for children aged 7-12yo. My website is http://storiesmynanatells.com and I have been a published writer since 2004. I also write for the Australian ABC Technology Website under the name of #SilverSurfer - because I am an avid surfer of the internet and love social media.

In addition, I am an experienced public speaker and give talks and make presentations on a wide range of topics. I have recently sold my financial planning business to embark on a whole new career of writing, travelling and speaking.

I am passionate about supporting the environment and seeing businesses work in a sustainable manner. I hate whaling and work with several groups to maintain political pressure to have it stopped. I am passionate about marine sanctuaries and the need to make and keep space in the world for the beautiful creatures (in the water and on land) that make this world a wonderful place to live.

I have published a very successful eBook on using Twitter and networking - it is free - at http://networkingtoaplan.com

I blog, mentor, encourage and share. I also take some time for myself, now and then.

Hello Lesley

I am home, nursing a large strong coffee and  musing about  the visit I have just had with the periodontist. Nice man with big strong horsey teeth, and I felt safe and unafraid. The examination  ended with an unfunny sort of "Your teeth are OK but the gums have to come out" analysis, and all of a sudden impending old OLD age stared at me in the face.

"I have to have a tooth out, and have  a  bone graft, and then a tooth implant..."

Surely that only happens to the elderly??
I am in denial that I am old!
I run - I climb trees, I do utterly crazy things.. I am..

Oh...
I am a crazy old woman.....

*deep sigh*

When did this happen? Are my bits and pieces failing me?
I am in strong denial!

By the way, I absolutely love the beautiful bright 'poppy' red of the lettering and highlighting and gorgeous poppy photo at the top of the page.  This is such a stunning looking website!  You have done such a wonderful job creating this lovely space.
