No Tall Poppies

Having our Twitter Tweets show up on our own pages makes for a lot of fun and the opportunity for adding new followers, getting replies and RT's and adding to our Twitter experience through the networking group.

When you add the Twitter Tracker application to your own page, you also need to set the terms of the search that you want for your own Twitter Tracker. The search terms need to be the exact phrases or words, and searches for more than one word need to be enclosed within quote marks.

As an example, your own Twitter name (ID) is a single phrase (LesleyDewar), if that is what you want to show up in your Twitter search.

If you have a special interest (like #haiku), you can use that term, too. Your Twitter Tracker Option can be changed from time to time to reflect your changing interests, too.

"micro loans" and kiva.org are good Twitter Tracker search terms if you are interested in them.

You can only use one search phrase or word at a time and if you are logged on to Twitter, you can go directly to follow and /or reply to the Tweet you are reading. It is a very good way to find other people who have the same interests as you do.

The Twitter search engine is extremely good - take advantage of it!
