No Tall Poppies

Twitter is in beta testing with its new Lists tool. How cool it will be when you can have a list of all your Twitter people by geography or profession [your choice] and use that in conjunction with your LinkedIn list http://twitter.com/lesleydewar [follow me]

One of the very useful tools on LinkedIn is being able to sort through your connections by both geographic category [Perth Australia = me] or by their chosen profession [Writer = me].

Using this tool for fifteen minutes two or three times a week will help you get to know your connections much better and make it easier to interact with them.

Geographic is fun - and gives you an idea of how many people in your network are actually close to each other. Why not introduce them?

If you have changed jobs in the past six months [or location], is your profile fully up to date? Make it easy for your connections to refer you or know about changes that migh affect their ability to connect you with someone else.

The world is shrinking as we speak. *smiles*

Great tips Lesley! The world is getting smaller isn't it.
It is getting so small you can't go anywhere, without meeting someone you know or who knows you. I met a lady from our Swan View family vet - in Kununurra! She remembered my dog more than me. LOL She was up there - busting Cane Toads.
